The Stuyvesant apartment is actually an entire canal house rather than an apartment. Located at the entrance of the Jordaan, and next door to the Jan Steen apartment, it offers four full floors with an outdoor patio area. Located on the ground floor of the apartment are the kitchen and dining room, a small toilet, as well as the outdoor patio. The living room, which contains a sleeper sofa and a flat screen tv, is on the first floor. On the second floor there is a bedroom with a full bathroom (no tub) and another bedroom with a toilet is located on the top floor. Each bedroom has a queen bed. One of the lovely charms of this canal house is the view. From each floor, the view is sensational overlooking two canals, with a lot of light streaming into the house.
Stuyvesant is located at an intersection of two of Amsterdam's 17th century canals and wedged between the famous "nine litle streets" neighbourhood, that retained a village like atmosphere and the "Spieghelkwartier" which is the envy of many muses when it comes to the quality of the antiques on display. With the Jordaan only a few paces away you will not be short of places to wine and dine and shop in hundreds of quaint boutiques.
